River Tryweryn

Beat Description

Bala Angling Club Water

NOTE: Conditions do apply, so please refer to our club handbook

The Tryweryn is a brown trout river. Most are natural wild fish supplemented by fingerling stocking by the club.  Any  legal method allowed but no maggots.  As the river is controlled by Llyn Celyn, care must be taken when crossing a low river as a rapid rise in level can leave the angler stranded on the wrong bank. Trout can be taken on worm, fly or spinner.  Fish of 2lbs plus are caught here. Salmon are also taken when present especially September and October. Fly, spinner and worm are the preferred methods. Grayling are also present.
